What to have ready
None of this is essential - call us regardless and we will work it out. But if you have it to hand, the quote is more accurate and the visit is faster.
- Where they are going in. A wall, an eave, a hole in the lawn, a chimney - the entry point matters far more than where you see them flying.
- What they look like. Bright yellow and black with legs tucked in is usually European wasps. Slimmer and orange-brown with legs dangling is usually paper wasps. Furry and thickset is usually honey bees.
- How long it has been going on. A week is a very different job to since spring.
- Your suburb or postcode, so we can confirm coverage and timing.
- Anything that makes it urgent - a sting allergy, small children, a doorway, or a business that has to keep trading.
- A photo from a safe distance. Never approach a nest to take one.
If someone has been badly stung

What should I tell you when I get in touch?
Three things help most: what they look like, where you can see them going in, and how long it has been happening. If you can take a photo from a safe distance, better again - it usually lets us identify the species before we arrive, which decides both the method and the price. Never approach a nest to get the shot.
Do you charge for a quote or a call-out?
No. Quoting is free and there is no call-out fee, so you are never charged just for us turning up. The price is fixed before we travel and it does not change once it has been given.

Can you come outside business hours?
Yes. We take emergency callouts 24/7, and some nests are genuinely better treated at dusk because the whole colony is home by then. For commercial sites we can attend before opening or after close so your trading is not disrupted.
Is it wasps or bees I have?
Send a photo and we will tell you. Wasps are treated at the nest and the nest is removed; bees are taken out alive with no pesticides and relocated. They are two completely different jobs, and both are ours - so you do not need to work it out before you call. See bee removal if you think it is bees.
